I had an operation in March this year and spent a week in hospital, had 30 staples from my belly button down........
I'm currently under a 5 year check at velindre, and has made me look at life in a different perspective!!

Good news for you mate and I sincerely wish it continues so. We take everything so much for granted and your right about doing regular checks, the "it'll never happen to me" is dangerous as I had put off my prostate problems and just recently been given the all clear but left with benign prostatic hyperplasia and like yourself under regular scrutiny.......... ALWAYS CHECK AND NEVER BE AFRAID OR EMBARRASSED TO CONSULT WITH YOUR GP, IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIVE.
Good luck to you and family

Yes, it was Kidney cancer. Until Feb this year I had no symptoms except for a slight swelling under my ribcage which I promised myself i'd mention to my GP but never did! I was lucky, it was confined to the kidney with no local invasion, Doc reckoned i'd had this "Alien" growing inside me for at least TWO years. Kidney removed May 25th and now check ups every Six months. Missed the Jacks game and Wembley as I wasn't well but it looks like i'll get full use of my season ticket!

No problem. Just asked my son (Alex James), he's friendly with a lad called Zane Davies, they've been down to see City together a few times. At this very moment they are chatting on xbox live!
