FAMILY STAND TICKET HOLDERS - PRE MATCH ENTERTAINMENT

Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:06 pm

When I met with the club back in June, we spoke of the club doing more for the children in the Family Stand, ie: Players coming into the stand and signing autgraphs etc.

The club said they would be doing different shows prior to each game and players would make their way over to the Family Stand.

PRE MATCH MAGIC "I'LL BE THERE"
Fri 06 Aug 2010

Sunday will see the launch of our new pre-match entertainment in the Family Stand concourse. We have upgraded the area towards the end of the season with our Sony Playstation & Cartoon zones.

After our extensive survey and the work undertaken with the Family Focus Group we are now providing pre-match entertainment and player visits to the Family Stand as well as a host of other improvements.

Starting at 11.45am this Sunday we will have a superb magic show brought to you by Jasper Blakeley an international award-winning magician and one of the UK's most versatile and exciting magic performers.

The gate will open from 11am on Sunday. There will have a player interview on the new stage area followed by Jasper at 11.45am to 12.15pm.

It will be an excellent opening show before the main event of the day as the Bluebirds look to get off to the perfect start against Sheffield United.

We have had a couple of conversations about this recently.

The club are making a real effort to make the Family Stand area one of the best in the League (they have already been highly praised for their work by the League itself). They have also started work on having a similar , but smaller , family facility in the away fans part of the stadium.

The money they have saved from reduced policing costs by having the family area where it is has allowed them to fund this and , coupled with the fact that only 1 person in the Family Stand has asked for it , there is no way that a swap with the Canton Stand will be taking place anytime soon.

I sit on the corner of the canton/ninian stand right where the neath port talbot flag hangs.

No playstations there!

I sit a row back from the flag. I was hoping it would be caught on TV during the Jacks game. I'm sure the Swansea players saw it too.....made me chuckle.

Where do you sit?
