Leeds last night

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Leeds still look a League 1 side? Derby cut them open a lot yesterday and they are not exactly the best team in the league. I think the Leeds fans are in for a tough season especially on the road.
Anyone?

Scmeichel is a good keeper. Defensively they are not that great. 1 or 2 decent midfielders. Up front Watt and Bechion dont look too bad. I think they will finish 15th or 16th.

Yes I agree, if it wasn't for their keeper it could have been a rout. Becchio looks decent as does that guy you mentioned with the bizarre name. Best player on the pitch for me was Kris Common. He's a very good player and ran the show.

I hate to say it but Savage had a decent game. Never been a fan of his but football needs a 'pantomime villain'. He worked hard but will cringe at his sloppyness that led the leeds goal. Derby looked a different team from last season at times but, it's the first game of the season and we are still in the 'silly season' mode. More than often we see a team having a blinding opening day result only to be absolutely gash the week after.
We have a tough month ahead with Norwich away and Preston/Burnley to come at home. Be good to get them out of the way as we don't ever seem to have a good opening month.

Norwich away is winnable-you lot are better than Watford. PNE at home is a 3 pointer. Burnley dont travel that well either. You should be looking at 7 points. Hopefully you'll have none! ;)

i agree, still a long road ahead of them to reach anywhere near as good as they used to be.

Snodgrass is good, Painter is a good lower league striker and Gradel is not bad. Not sure about Sommer.

Interesting thread.

I think Leeds will struggle this season and this is down to them being in league one for 3 years. Teams that go down and come straight back up seem to do well in the Championship. Leicester being prime example last season and I am expecting Noriwch to do well this season.

Swansea have been the odd one out according to my theory. Usually there is someone odd with my theories and trust it to be Swansea on this one. :(
