We did everything but win it in the second half. Rae and Drinkwater are too similar but obviously numbers dictated today. More upset that we couldn't break down the ten men than the actual result itself.

Exact same story when we played them at home last season. Simonsen was on loan to them and kept them in the game.

I think we played well. The strikers were playing too deep, but I'm sure that will stop when Koumas and McPhail are fit.

Ross needs to do some more running on the treadmill I think though. Also thought Jay pulled out of some tackles too mind.

Completely agree, when Whitts drops deep in the center he can pick passes out from anywhere, its how we scored. He just needs a few yards on the ball and he will pick apart any team in this league. Him and Koumas in the same 11 is gunna be frightening.

mcphail would have run that game today blake would do job in middle has some steel about him that would have made room for mathews

I agree, I thought first half we we still in pre season mode, last 1/2 hr of second was much more more like it. Whittingham up the middle was a masterstroke. I know we had the extra man but it looked like he was enjoying the freedom.

We were terrible yesterday until Whitts went into the centre.

But most people I spoke to before the game said they'd be happy with the draw. This club doesn't have a hunger for success and that's why it will evade us.

We should have won end of! chance after chance 2nd half! and a disallowed goal. Lets hope that popping whits in through the center has given Jones food for thought!!! because other teams will not be prepared for that.
