yes, but i would expect and half decent professional footballer to do the same with the ammount of time and space he had

Not quick enough to play on the wide, I would prefer him in a more central role than out on the wing where he cannot run round anybody.

Whittingham was excellent playing in the middle today. Personally I think we are seeing DJ's long term plan which is to play PW centre and bring Koumas in on the left.

Totally agree, brought Drinkwater more into the game as well.

Don't forget their keeper made some good saves under all that 2nd half pressure as well.

Whitts just needs some confidence in going in for a ball when its 50/50 - get some balls and not be afraid n hold back trying to get the ball.........................

he does play well but i think he looks sluggish because thats the way he is- a relaxed player lol horizontal maybe

Thought when he dropped deep he was spraying the ball everywhere, E.G Bothroyds goal, his through ball to Chopra was class. Wouldn't mind seeing him there more often as Rae and Drinkwater don't seem comfortable playing together.
