Drinkwater will be an asset.....

I was impressed today. Got stuck in, never lost possesion and he had quick feet. Reminded me very much of a more attack minded McPhail

I think he did ok but im expecting a lot more to come from him. His control at times was a bit dodgy but he was quick to close down, made a few tackles and made some interesting runs forward. I think he will be an asset

looks promising, first league game he's he's going to be cautious, i also noticed a few good runs he made looks a good addition to our small squad :ayatollah:

the last thing i thought was that he was an 'attack minded mcphail.' I thought the opposite, refused to pass the ball forward, it was either sideways or backwards. Looks like an alright backup but get koumas and mcphail in the middle

I think he just needs to find his feet and get settled, a few 20-30 minutes periods and I think he could eventually step up to playing first team football for us. For now I think he is better suited on the bench, but with injuries and fitness issues he currently has to start!

Passed it sideways and backwards? Just like Mcphail then. Koumas is going to replace Whitts left wing. Don't want Koumas centre mid with McPhail it wouldn't work at all.

i though he was more a ledley type of player...box to box work house.

lets hope we can get both koumas and mcphail fit to see how well they combine then make judgement :ayatollah:

I think koumas and mcphail would make a good partnership, mcphail sitting deep and playing the passes which gives koumas a license to go forward, sounds good to me

Thats what i mean you have to see it first, if they can build a rapport and work off/for eachother would be fantastic as long as their fit :? :ayatollah:

I thought he was a clone of Gavin Rae ! The only difference being, when Drinkwater passed it got to a City player, something Rae can't do !
