From November 2017

Champions League hopefuls Cardiff City today announced an amazing season ticket deal which includes free travel to the Champions League final any time before 2025. The club, which currently owes $250 million, say the debt is totally manageable and the offer, which requires the full payment upfront to cover the next eight years, is to protect supporters against rising aircraft fuel prices.

Cardiff are currently battling for the forth Champions League place with Manchester United who are coming to the end of a five year transfer ban for illegally tapping up the whole of the Brazilian under 12 international team.

The HSBC Premier Banking division is currently led jointly by Arsenal, Spurs and Sunderland.

Down in the Hyundai Championship League, Chelsea drew a season low gate of 8,542 for the visit of mid table Swansea City. Owner Ray Wilkins suggested that the attendance was affected by the live ballroom dancing final not the lowest ticket price of $250.

The big match in the basement brought together Manchester City, recently rescued from liquidation (following the Dubai bankruptcy) by Mark Hughes, played Wrexham, managed by Mark Hughes before 12,000 at the Racecourse. Sparky says that the good times are just around the corner for both clubs.

While in the Kia Conference, a record crowd of 12,000 watched Liverpool play Notts County. Liverpool have won promotion for the last 3 seasons and under the frugal guidance of player/manager/owner Michael Owen and are betting on another quick promotion.

On the International front, David Beckham, has signed for Dundee United in order to keep fit for the 2018 World Cup, to be held in England, where he hope to win his 200th cap. Manager Joe Kinnear stated that as long as Becks was playing regularly in a national league he couldn’t give a flying f**k as he only watches the games on TV anyway.

Meanwhile, Wales who have reached their first world cup since 1958 following a last minute penalty in the play-off against Scotland, say that manger Sir Ryan Giggs will not come out of retirement to play.
However, Robbie Savage, currently having a new lease of life at Mold Tuesdays and Jason Koumas, still on the bench at 4th division Wigan, would consider coming out of requirement to help the youngsters.
Koumas said that he would love to play but would not be available for any warm up matches and he wanted to live at home and travel independently during the world cup itself as he has some new puppies to look after.
