Atmosphere??

Sun Aug 08, 2010 6:56 pm

Now don't shoot the messager but why was the atmosphere or lack of so bad today.??
I listened to the game in the car for literally 5 mins & radio wales commentators words were " it's like a morgue here ths afternoon". Also told by someone who went that it was poor, but did liven up after the goal. (As it should.)
Why is it so bad there, you had a tidy size crowd, first game of the season it should be buzzing.

Do you think that the new stadium can't generate a buzz, unless it's against the jacks. ??? ;)

Basically yes. Its going to take alot of work to get the atmosphere back.

Re: Atmosphere??

It wasn't all to bad today, there was a pretty piss poor crowd there in my opinion. Did not look like 20,000+.
In the canton where I sit there was pretty good noise generated and after re watching the game on tv we were heard singing many a time.
Also the fact the Blades fans were non existant will never help build an atmosphere.

The commentator did say on Sky fair play to the fans they are really getting behind there team. Against you lot it was a great atmo but the two games against Leicester was superb.
It will take time with the new ground but it will get there. Ninian Park was a morgue sometimes as well just like the Liberty and that shithole they called the Wretch.
Is that ground still standing or has it been demolished yet ? and what are they going to do with the site?.

Terrible today to be fair, more support for the team and less anti Swansea songs which is embarassing unless we are playing them. :o

The problem you got with tv games some people will stay at home or go down the pub to watch the match (which I cannot understand one bit)

If it's like other grounds (liberty included) the stewards don't help the cause, health and safety bollocks,
To be fair they did back off a bit in the east stand last season only coz they tried the sit down nonsense once too often
and a few took a slap.
Clubs need to make stand up if you want sections, i think it will relax fans and encourage atmosphere.

Anyway 20.500 today but still very quiet, :o Leon reckoned it was a breeze, more like a friendly

The vetch is still here a Shrine to football ;) plans in place for an indoor arena, with over 100 pubs & clubs all
under 1 roof. underground tram facility linking surrounding areas, our loverly beaches & up to the liberty. ;)
if carlsberg sat on the council

The vetch was and is a pisshole, how it`s still standing is beyond me, it merely adds to the the general rundown dickensian standard of that godawful village you poor downtrodden people have to live in. Any truth that their extending Swansea prison onto the area of the vetch to safely accommodate the ever growing population of chavish feral criminal sorts, that breed so indiscrimantely down your way ? :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sorry to piss on your chips, but our best atmosphere was not against you stinking rat bags last year, it was the two Leicester games (league and play-off) :D

the only time they get an atmosphere at the liberty is when we are there.

they must be deluded if they think its the same with us.

the bloody stewards where out in force in the ninian stand, telling everyone to sit down or we would receive warnings int the post. :D

But Rob they cant prove it was you. You can say it was someone else sat or not sat in your seat you was in the next row down etc They cant do feck all about it unless they remove you there and then.
Health and safety gone mad anyway we are Cardiff fans tell those jobsworths to feck off. After all its football not a day out at the theatre

poor............

could it be down to sunday early ko, no trains people driving and not having a few beers. shit away following no real banter.
or could it be the fans were edgey??

or is it the fact the atmosphere was no diffrent to any other week, apart from liecester and jacks, and we will soon have to accept that it will never be like NP.......

stewards dont help they even came up trying to get us to sit in the canton

The atmosphere is garbage in the flatpack sorry CCS, most of the stewards are jumped up little hitlers, who carry out their job to the letter of the law. Alas the total sanitisation of football means its becoming more like the bloody theatre every week.

Most modern day stadiums now resemble libraries with are virtually devoid of character or atmosphere. :(
