We went up by car that day stopped in the feathers in Chiswick, then somehow we landed up parking in the Millwall car park, a bit worrying after the game but we managed to get out alive, cracking result though

A wonderful day out, remember it as if it was yesterday, got off the coach, and a couple of Millwall loons come straight out of some bushes brandishing blades shouting "come on you taffy cants" they were quickly seen off, but this set the scene for the day really. What immense atmosphere that ground and its surrounding area had. So hostile it was untrue.

when we left the ground on the coach, adar glas, millwall were kicking and hitting the coach, so one of the boys took his laces out of his doc martins, and tied the door up,,,,,, stopped us getting off

What a day, remember the bus being bricked so much we were not allowed to leave London. What came into the bus went back as quickly as it came in, plus a few extras such as refilled bottles.

We were taken to Fulham, found a pub and stayed until about 11pm which wasn't all bad. A relief coach from Slough turned up to take us back home, only to find it being driven by a Sikh, you can imagine the stick he got! If that wasn't bad enough the bus needed diesel, and a detour via Slough was called for.

Got back to Cardiff about 2.30am.

I also remember this day very well.

When we arrived at Ninian to get the coach it was discovered that not enough coaches had been booked. A number of us waited around before one arrived with something like Sunshine Tours emblazoned on the side. Before we departed some comedian managed to switch the coach microphone on and said ‘welcome to today’s Sunshine tour to South London, hope you all enjoy the day and I’ll see you later in the Royal Infirmary’. That really set the tone for the day.

Due to our late departure we were one of the last coaches to arrive at the Den which meant we missed the ‘special welcome’ that other City fans endured. Once inside the ground we saw City destroy their opponents which funnily enough didn’t seem to please the locals.

Our coach also got bricked afterwards and after stopping a few miles from New Cross some of our lot got off the coach including a skinhead with national health glasses. At this point our comedian from earlier in the day decided to get back on the mic and proceeded to mimic the skinheads thoughts. The whole coach was rocking with laughter and this skinhead kept looking back at the coach wondering why we were all pissing ourselves.

One other thing I remember is seeing about 20 City fans walking up the road in New Cross after the game. They were trying very hard to blend in as one had a Welsh flag draped around him, I always wondered whether they got back home in one piece.

In typical City fashion we then got stuffed 4-0 at Orient three days later.
