Ref giving drop balls today

Sun Aug 08, 2010 11:15 pm

We had a throwing, and Sheff Utd player went down injured, so the ref gave a drop ball and made us kick it back to Sheff Utd, even though it was our throwing in the first place.

He gives a foul for a tackle on McNaughton outside the box, and Ross goes down injured, he then gives a drop ball for Sheff Utd to kick back to us?

What the feck was going on with that?

I was absolutely shocked by some of the decisions. What about the indicent just before the goal? Didn't keeper handballed outside the box?

Dodgy ref. We should have had a penalty or at least a corner when Whitts was hasing the ball and the Sheff Utd player bounced the ball out with his hand. But a free kick was given for a push by Whitts.

Also didn't see what was wrong with Chops goal? It wasn't that much of a push.

It was a push and the ref didnt spot it but the lino did , as for the drop balls then its up the the players of Sheff Utd to do the decent thing . I cant see Blackwell and his Blades earning too many friends this season , must be all his years at Leeds

Some of his decisions were a little strange.

He also seeme dto be telling the players involved who was to kick to who, which unless the laws have changed, he shouldn't be doing.

Sorry though Phatfrog, those two he did call correctly, although I only realised it after seeing replays.

Jay made a movement towards the ball as the keeper went to kick it out. He's actually quite lucky taht he didn't pick up a 2nd yellow for it.

It would be deemed as unsporting behaviour.
