But if you are selling photos taken in the ground you need to be very carefull, and make sure you get the club accreditation otherwise its illiegal (check terms and condition on your match ticket)
Taking photos for personal pleasure and not accepting money is fine (as far as I'm aware) but charging is a different ball game

Jon you can't take photos at all inside a FL or PL stadium unless you've got a licence. However it is not a criminal offence to do so but merely part of the terms of entrance. If you do take photos without being stopped then those photos belong to you and no one else. If then someone offers money for those shots then that's between you and them. No one has the right to interfere with or take your camera away from you. They can throw you out but your property is your property. There is a law about photographing coppers but even this law is under review due to heavy handed coppers abusing it.
No photo agency will touch your photos though not just because they know you are not accredited but they'll get far better photos from the proper photographers at the match who each go there with around 25k worth of kit.
Another problem you might have selling photos when you are not accredited is with image rights. Suppose you sold a photo of a player for a lot of money, then without a signed model release form from that player then he could ask for a fee from you. Very unlikely but still plausible.
