Just come back from 5 nights camping, gotta be honest it is by far the nicest plae in this country. Amazing sights, Beer is a bit £££ but you expect that really but if it had the same climate as spain then it could be 1 of the nicest places in the world.

Do the Cornwall folk actually class themselves English?
I'm sure i read an article on them years ago saying they think of themselves as seperate.

they do indeed most part of cornwall have a welsh history and a lot of the names are welsh sounding, they are in fact celt's just like us.

I was born in Cardiff but grew up in cornwall from when I was a few months old till I joined the army at 18. Its indded a beautiful place and some parts are very gaelic still and the cornish language is very similar to Welsh but they are passionate about being English when the football and rugby is in. They have a great affinity with the welsh though and certainly look on them as cousins. The only issue is back about a hundred years ago the cornish tin miners went on strike, but the welsh miners came down and mined the tin mines instead and that pissed off the locals but there is no real resentment about it now
