As a tribute to a true gent the club should either name the Grange/Canton Stand after him or one of the suites in the ground.

What if every member/ambo/stadium card holder gave £2 then it would raise between 40 and 50 grand. That way the fans could sponsor the stand as the Brian Clark Stand and the club would get money plus more importantly we would remember a CCFC legend.

Gareth,
I have said the same thing on a different thread.
Brian was a wonderful man and never lost his love of our club.
I hope the club can name a stand after this TRUE legend of this club. He without a shadow of a doubt merits it

CCFC havnt donated a penny yet for the Fred Keenor statue so dont hold ur breath there , the way our Club is money orientated I cant see a stand or anywhere else bearing the name of Brian Clark , altho they could call the bar at Ninian Stand aisle 115 the Brian Clark Bar and put some old photos up on the bare walls there ?

Surely though us fans could do something. Not a computer expert but if someone set up a justgiving account then fans could contribute and the club wouldnt have to do a thing.

well this Forum has over 3,000 members plus we got over 10,000 Plat Ambos and a total of 17,500 ST holders so I suppose the Trust could , but they already have the Fred Keenor statue fund on going .

Certainly a nice plaque and a picture of the Real Madrid goal should fill in some of the bare spaces of concrete blocks.
I remember watching him and tosh together during my childhood years at ninian - great times.

naming the bars makes sense and is the cheapest option with bar names and a few large pics like the 1 of Brian that was by the start of the Bob Bank village , also have the Phil Dwyer and Robin Friday bars too with appropriate photos !

Probably the most practical idea. However Blackpool have named their stands after the likes of armfield and matthews

Brian Clark was my favourite player/person of all time and if I had my way, I would call the whole stadium the Brian Clark Arena. I know it won't happen, but if any players name is deserving of such a move, Brian Clark certainly is.
I am just so glad that I had the privalage to watch him play for City in the 70's and talk to him on many occasions over the years.
I last spoke to him outside Wembley stadium before the FA Cup final and he spent so long talking to fans who all fully appreciated him so much.
RIP Brian

The least City can do is honour his name. The man was one of the best players to ever put on a City shirt. Perfect gent & a role model to kids.In these days of pampered spoilt brats, Brian was a man's man & i can never recall him cheating or being abusive. RIP Brian, you'll never be forgoten.
