Blackpool and Harewood.

Tue Aug 10, 2010 1:31 pm

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Holloway and the Blackpool fans - is the chairman keeping all the money for himself? There is financial prudence needed, but surely not to this extent.

mind you, would we have done any better? Would our financial problems have been better or worse?

Yep...When Blackpoll won @ Wembley I knew they are doomed. I doubt they'll get more than Derby in THAT season. If they can't sign Harewood then seriously, wtf are they doing in EPL? Hopefully they won't get into huge financials troubles like some clubs when they got relegated.

I think it was always clear that Blackpool were never even going to try and compete in the Prem. They'll take the £90m, try and survive and what squad they already have and some loan signings, and next season settle back into life in the Championship.

Thing is, if you are not even going to try and compete why bother trying to get promoted in the first place.
