TUESDAY UPDATE

I hope there doesn't have to be a daily update all season, I have to go back to work next week. For all those who have never met me, I do actually exist but some will also say they have never seen Annis and myself in the same room together

Superb news today that Olofinjana has signed and despite what others have written you heard his name first linked with City right here some 4 days ago.This is exactly the type of player many fans have said we need in the middle of the park let's hope that it turns out as well as we hope.

The latest news with other targets is that Naylor will hopefully sign this week.

The deal with Ross/Stead is still possible but Keane is playing games over the fee involved. Stead has told a friend of mine that he wants the move despite having a new born baby but fears Keane stance on the money could scupper it.

Okay I know you haven't waited all day to hear that, some of you reading this will know that I have been down Oakwood today and in between throwing up after riding speed twice in 5 mins and struggling for a signal I received some very interesting gossip which as I was driving home was given a bit more believability when Real Radio spoke about the possibility too. Bellamy.

OK before I send members of all messageboards mad and into hysteria at the moment we will treat the news as just gossip, so before I read on other boards in the next few mins ' Carl says Bellamy is coming ' lets get it straight, I am not !

But I will tell you what I got told today and then a little later tonight from another source.

I was told this afternoon that a businessman is willing to help fund a move for Bellamy by paying £40k pw of his wages !

The person I spoke with thought I was quite rude with my response but I took the ' news ' with a large pinch of salt. On my way home I heard on the radio the same stories and soundclips you have all heard. I then made enquiries through other contacts and another came back with the same ' news ' but added that the nameless businessman from Cardiff does want to fund £40k pw of his wages and in return he wants percentages etc if we go up. Obviously if this ' news ' has any legs then there will be a lot more to any deal than the bits I have just said but that is the just of it.

Whether this is true, I simply do not know. What I would say is, if some bloke is putting £160k every month for a player to sign for us then he should be given the freedom of the City.

A half fit Craig Bellamy would have an even bigger influence than Kevin Ratcliffe
had when he was here. You'd have to make him captain. All through the game all
