Is it the self-publicising media whore who runs a few restaurants in town who just loves to get in the paper at any possible opportunity? Could this be another publicity stunt? From what I've heard and the experience my company's had with him, no thanks

To be fair this could be a case of 2 stories coming together and becoming linked together.

Gio's name was part of a Cardiff business consortium that was trying to put together a package to help the club sign Koumas in 2006.

Now that a similar story appears about a Cardiff businessman funding Bellamy's wages, is it possible that someone has linked Gio to the story ?

Not saying it is martyn as he clearly says it is what he has been told.

I was just told its been mentioned about somebody called Giovani , I dont know cock all about him or his history tbh .

I know him and knew his father too who had a fish and chip shop in Cornwall street. surname is malacrino.

The man just loves free publicity and to be quite honest he would not have the financial means to do this, he does not have a good reputation in the business world as he is rather shy in settling debts for work carried out.

He just hasn't got the dosh !!

No probs Martyn I dont know Gio to be fair, he may very well be the businessman ( if it's true ) to fund the wages but I am just trying to make people aware how is name may come into it because of previous matters.

My experience of him is much the same, but I didn't like to say anything on here

I know its true Nottage,

He likes the limelight, like to think that he mixes with the A list crowd. If you remember a few years ago Bellamy ended up in court for assault on fem in a cardiff nightclub. It was his club in mill lane Number 10.

Not so long ago the Echo editor told staff not to give him the free publicity he craves for.

His father was a lovely hard working man its a pity but i cannot say the say about him

I know all about his dealings with the Echo. I work for them and I know first hand what his tactics are. You're spot on

He's one of Cardiffs worst people to do business with. Massive timewaster and NEVER PAYS HIS BILLS.

Self publicist and will try and get his name in the press at every opportunty. He hasn't got a pot to piss in, let alone pay Premiership wages!

Yes Carl I remember that. Didn't the consortium he was part of pull out of funding the Koumas deal because of a legal technicality over 'ownership' of the player’s registration?

If I am remembering correctly then surly the same would apply to Bellamy?

Yes and the £15m is a joke anyway.

No way the club would go for that.

looks like attention seeking/opportunism from someone to me.

Why not offer £2m for his wages in exchange for some of the unsold shares - if they want to help. Instead of saddling us with another debt which would mean promotion would land us with a millstone which would send us back down.
