My Celtic mates at work think he's terrible, but in all fairness he has had some terrible partners, not one of them even close to Roger's standard so theirs no understanding. I'll admit when I go along to Celtic Park he hasn't looked like the Glenn from when he was with us.

He was in Hollands 30 man World Cup Squad before they had to drop it down to 23.

Well you are in luck as he's starting for Celtic today.

Loovens by the way is by far the most successful (in terms of results) centre half we've had at this club for many many years.

In seasons 06/07 to when he left we only lost only 18 out of 87 games with him here. Won 41.

He's far better than any other centre half at the club.

He couldnt have done that bad as he worked his way into the Dutch squad whilst there.

who was that lad from Liverpool? Martin Kelly? I think Liverpool would loan him for us easily, because he needs one more season and he's Premiership quality. And he was brilliant at Huddersfield. Can play as fullback too.

Would take Loovens in a heartbeat.

He mopped up quite alot for Johnson, and was "mentoring" him whilst he was here.

Roger is a far better defender now, but Loovens was a big part in a fantastic partnership
