Pick 3 teams
do in doubles
don't bet what you can't afford
don't bet teams which are odds on unless bet pays more than 3/1
If you win straight away don't get greedy, stick to same formula.

At this stage of the season, all you have to go on are form in friendlies, cup games, current suspensions and injuries.
As the season progresses - 8 match form - Home & Away form, team news and the relevance of the fixture. Derby matches for example are best left alone. If you have any doubts over a bet don't do it.
If you are doing 3 doubles, the odds of all 3 indivudual bets should come to more than 3/1. If they don't you will lose unless all 3 teams win. Hope this helps.

agree with comments below, try to pick three or four homes, very difficult to get a win til the table settles down and you can see who is going to be decent at home
this week i have gone for
wigan swansea ipswich treble
sunderland wigan plymouth treble
portsmouth scunthorpe doncaster ipswich accummalator
£3 on each line
if its a bit confusing go into ladbrokes and pick up a quickslip, they are very easy to use ,as the other chap said best advise is not to get greedy, limit yourself to what you can afford, and don't go over that limit even when you get your first win

Don't bet myself either, but always fancy a flutter. I will give that a go.
