They are talking about him on there now saying that a move to cardiff for 6 months could be completed by tomorrow morning!!!!

Didn't like the way they said it was only for 6 months as Bellamy was hoping that Mancini will be sacked soon and he can return to the Man City team.

He would not be able to though, he wont be in the 25 man squad .

The 25 man squad has to be submitted by the end of both transfer windows. They can change it as much as they want between now and the end of August and the same applied in January.
He could feasibly play next week for Man City if they alter their 25 man squad, he could also be added in the Jan transfer window should he return to the club.

6 month loan makes sense with the 25 man squad rule, if come the January transfer window opens Manchester City will be able to recall Bellamy if he is required for Manchester City and put back into the 25 man squad. If Manchester City still do not require his services the loan can be extended till the end of the season.

I suspect that any deal would end on 31st January so he could return to Man City and be included in the revised 25 man squad.
Funny thing is I now hope Mancini does the business at Man City so Bellamy stays beyond 6 months! lol
