Ok lets have one:

1. DJ has been given money to spend on new players. Only one team has spent more and thats Forest who are above us.

2. We are told our squad is alot stronger this year than last. Excluding Roger Johnson who are we exactly missing? I hear we need our team to gel due to the new players. We are half way through the season, how long do we have to wait?

3. We are 4th not because we are good, how can you claim to be good taking 1 point from 6 from the bottom 2 teams, but because the teams around us are poor.

4. Lets really hit hard. Look at our little cousins from the West. Look what happened to them in the summer compared to us. Look how much they spent compared to us. Look where they are in ther league. Frightening is it not.

Dave Jones is the highest paid manager in this league. He has got too comfortable in his job and has a damn cheek to have a go at us fans. A word of warning to you DJ. You might think you are untouchable but dont take it out on us the fans because we will be the ones to push you through the exit door.

Anymore performances like that against Plymouth or capitulations like that in second half against Peterborough, will not be tolerated - get a reality check on that one Davey boy.

Neither will a month without some quality signings that will step straight in to the first eleven - apparently you now have the funds - perform on that front and stop bringing in dogs - Taiwo, Comminges etc - get a reality check on that one Davey Boy.

Also, before you have a go at the supporters remember over 24,000 turned out to support your team on boxing day and well over 2,000 travelled up to Peterborough to watch your team on bank holiday monday - true supporters - get a reality check on that one Davey Boy.

It was those 2,000 supporters who sang to YOUR players that they weren't fit to wear the shirt and also sang Jones out - which after that performance they were fully entitled to do - get a reality check on that one Davey Boy.

As Bakedalasker said - don't let this happen again unless you want these supporters to force you out. We can and we will if you allow performances again by your players in our clubs shirt - get a reality check on tht one Davey Boy.

We need a reality check? well lets look at your managerial record this season 8 defeats from 23 games which is a loss to games ratio of almost 35% which is pretty much in keeping with your career stats. I could go through each defeat individually but apart from the Newcastle defeat they were all very poor performances and some against very weak opposition. Then there was the capitulation agains Perterborough where your tactical naivety shone through once again. This also followed on from last seasons capitulation in the last four games where we got 1 point from twelve, scored two goals and conceded 12. There seems to be a theme here - inconsistency.

In another article this morning you made several comments:-

1. “We’re fourth and, if you said to people at the start of the season that this is we’re going to be at this moment with a game in hand, then they would have taken it.” - yes we are fourth but look closer at the table Mr Jones we are 5 points from 13th place and 8 points from 2nd place. We are far closer to the bottom half of the table than the top in terms of points gained.

2. “Some people want change because of embarrassment (losing a four-goal lead), but if they want to know about embarrassment they should have their picture blasted all over the papers for 18 months." “I could not do anything about that, but I can do something about what happened at Peterborough. - I am sure I can say for all fans that we are all very sorry for the personal torment you went through in the past. As for the Peterborough capitulation you say you can do something about it. Why didnt you do something about it during the match you had 45 minutes and 7 substitutes on the bench at your disposal to change things. Yet again you got it tactically wrong and was outflanked by the opposing manager. Peterborough changed tactics at half time, loaded up the midfield and overran us. Your inability to adapt tacticaly has been a continuing theme this and last season.

3. “I trust my players, I believe in them and now it’s time to move on." - If you trust them, then why slag off Jay Bothroyd in the after match interview and then subsequently on the club website. Forgive me if I am wrong when you substituted Jay Bothroyd the score was still 4-2 in our favour, so why single out Jay Bothroyd for criticism. Why not hold your hands up and say I got it tactically wrong with my substitutions. I am sure the fans would hold you in far higher esteem if for once you accepted some blame.

4. “I’m a good manager – fourth in the league – and work hard at what I do." - you may very well work hard at what you do, yet our results suggest you need to work a lot harder if we are not to repeat the 8 defeats in the final 23 games of the season which would leave us in mid table mediocrity. Your career stats and this years stats do not suggest you are a good manager.

5. Mark Hudson says this in the same article - “We must apologise to every fan who travelled to Peterborough,” said Hudson.

“We were unprofessional in the second half. It should not have happened and everybody is hurting over the way it went.

“We owe every fan a debt and the only way that can be repaid is to put things right and make sure we earn the results needed.”
Its a rather belated apology but at least he has apologised on behalf of the players. I suggest Mr Jones that you should follow his lead, eat a bit of humble pie and apologise for your role in the capitulation at Peterborough, the other 8 defeats this season and even the capitulation of the final 4 games last season. There is no shame in admitting you got it wrong from time to time. By passing the blame on to the players continually you do not endear yourself to the fans.

My mid term report on the season so far Mr Jones - Can and must do better or you will be expelled !!!

The guy is an egotistical prick IMO always using diversionary tactic's......To divert the blame away from himself........

Very true .......... and he says we'd have settled for this at start of season ........ well we don't settle for it ! We wouldn't have settled for it on christmas day , so forget that line. We know where we are and what we expect , and that is if we lose then we still want to be proud of our team!

Why for once just once cant he say "I should have changed things around (formation) I havent and unfortunately its cost us."


I think maybe he would gain peoples respect if he held his hands up and admitted to his mistakes. MAYBE JUST ONCE BUT HE NEVER DOES. Just my opinion.

Good comments on here about Jones.I've supported this club for fourty years & can never remember such a arrogant tw*t in charge. To say fans need a reality check is a insult. Not once as this bungling fat scouser put his hands up & taken any form of the blame, it's allways someone else's fault.

He doesnt even fill his own car up with petrol, he has it done for him while he is having lunch at the training ground lol.

He certainly seems to be distancing himself from the fans & to come out now & have a side swipe could come back & bite him in the arse.I think the next few games will be make or break for him.
