SERIOUSLY

Seriously do we really need Bellamy that much? at the moment we have a very good midfield with 2 quality players still to come back to full fitness (Koumas and Mcphail ) Then we also have very good attacking options with Chopra, Bothroyd, Mcormack(at the moment) with Jarvis coming through and rumours we are after Hulse, which i assume would be cover for Bothroyd. Who would you drop for Bellamy? Ye i know he would be the best player at the club but if you drop Chopra or Whittingham they are not going to be happy are they? They are going to want out, that is the sort of mentality they have. Then supposingly we were going to make him Captain. Well how are the rest of the team who have been there for years going to feel about that? Surely they want be happy, it could cause a lot of unrest and players not happy in the camp which would not be good.

Then the other problem, funding the deal. It is well publicised that we have serious money issues? so how the hell can we justify paying 45k a week for him? that is ridiculous. We could buy two quality center half's instead of Bellamy and then I would say we were odds on to go up as that is know our only weakness, I would much prefer this to happen than anything else.

Bellamy is a great player and would be one of the biggest signings outside of the premiership in history but do we really think we are going to get him ? and would it be a sensible option? I don't think so. But i would love him at our club and like i said it would be an amazing signing, I just dont know whether it would be a sensible or realistic option .

You are absolutely right but opportunities like this don't come around very often.

A top Premiership player wanting to drop down a divsion to play for his hometown club is something that may never happen to us again.

I think we would be mad not to sign him if it is in any way possible and then work through the problems after that. As for the other players, they will be well aware that Cardiff getting promoted could be their best chance of Premiership footbal so I'm sure they would put up with missing a few games along the way.

Whitts and Chops both looked for assurances that club was going forward, that couldn't be demonstrated any better by signing Bellamy, Olafanjano and Koumas :ayatollah:
