Merthyr - Saturday

Mon Aug 16, 2010 12:29 pm

Over 4 hours to get to Willand Rovers. Quicker to have gone to Derby but not cheaper. Arrived at 3.45 but game did not kick off until 4.00 as Merthyr were delayed on the nightmare that is the M5. Took well less than that to get home.

Lost 2-0 so Wembley dream over for another season. GK gifted the first and then ref said whistle for a free kick and then let the goal stand when they took a quick one.

Not a great game. Few hundred crowd with about 50/50 in terms of support. Nice little set up with nice bar area. I did get stung on the tongue by an agry wasp who was trying to share my burger and I did not notice until he was inside my mouth. Ouch it hurt.

City takes priority Saturday but I will be at Taffs Well and away when there is no clash with Cardiff at home.

Have not missed a game yet. Saturday will be the first as they clash with Cardiff at home.

I stood on the dug out side last Tuesday with junior (taller and hairier than me but still junior) at the ends Merthyr attacked.
