NEIL WARNOCK:

“You haven’t got a choice against the top teams like Chelsea, you are behind the ball because you can’t get it off them!
And so you have to be organised. But we want to try and attack as best we can and that’s what we’ve been working on this week."

"We’re not good enough to sit behind the ball, home or way, so we might as well have a go if we can. We’ve earned the right to be there so why not have a go!”

NEIL WARNOCK:

“I just think they’ve gone a bit more attacking, it must be more enjoyable for the lads to play like that.
You can say they might be more vulnerable at the back but a team like Chelsea has so much possession that it doesn’t get noticed."

“The lads look like they’re enjoying it. Hazard — if he’s not the best wide man in the league, then I don’t know who is! My favourite player in the league is David Silva, who we’ve got next week, but Hazard comes very close because he can win a game in two seconds.”

Warnock has spoken to Arter

Neil Warnock has confirmed he’s spoken with Harry Arter after the Cardiff City midfielder hit the headlines this week following a well-publicised spat with Republic of Ireland assistant Roy Keane.

The Bluebirds boss says there’s been no problem with Arter — other than his slightly worrying yellow card record so far!

NEIL WARNOCK:

“He’s a gem of a lad for a manager to have,” Warnock told TalkSPORT.
“He’s just so enthusiastic. Every day in training I have to calm him down.
“In fairness to Eddie [Howe] he did tell me his biggest problem is getting booked… and he’s had three bookings in three games!
“I have no problem with him at all. We had a chat about this situation, but no more than what a manager and a player would do in the same circumstances.”

NEIL WARNOCK:

“We haven’t got the quality or the class to sit back against the top quality clubs, so we have to give everything and go for it.”

"We want to try and attack as best we can and that’s what we’ve been working on this week," he added in a separate interview with talkSPORT.

"We’re not good enough to sit behind the ball, home or way, so we might as well have a go if we can. We’ve earned the right to be there so why not have a go!”

Watch us try and sit back and soak up wave after wave of attacks.

To me those comments, whilst probably correct, are just too negative and don't send the right message to the fans and players.

Didn't do it against Arsenal so why would he do it against Chelsea?

Those Neil Warnock quotes on Hazard and Willian

NEIL WARNOCK:

“I was hoping Barcelona bought Willian and Hazard went to Real Madrid in the summer,” he told the Standard.
They are such great players. Hazard? People try and kick him but he just loves it, he wants to play. I love his attitude.'

"I can understand why Chelsea didn’t let him go. He’s a massive part of what they’re trying to do."

“How do you stop him? Goodness knows. I was hoping Iceland were going to take chunks out of him when he played for Belgium the other night.”

Neil Warnock says Harry Arter is a ‘gem of a lad for a manager to have’

Irish Mirror

Thursday 13th September 2018

Harry Arter is a ‘gem of a lad for a manager to have’.

That’s according to Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock who has spoken to Arter about his bust-up with Roy Keane.

Keane could apologise to the midfielder for the expletive laden outburst in the summer that prompted him to quit international football.

But Warnock insisted today that Arter is not a disruptive influence behind the scenes.

“He’s a gem of a lad for a manager to have,” said the Bluebirds boss.

“He’s just so enthusiastic. Every day in training I have to calm him down.

“In fairness to Eddie [Howe, the Bournemouth manager] he did tell me his biggest problem is getting booked… and he’s had three bookings in three games!

“And that’s because that’s how he plays, and he trains the same. But I have no problem with him at all.

“We had a chat about this (Keane) situation, but no more than what a manager and a player would do in the same circumstances.”

Do you really think he's saying the same thing to the players? :?

More likely "Hey, it'll be tough but we can get something here, if we do our jobs!" :ayatollah:
