got on the 7.30am portsmouth harbour train at newport.when it pulled in i opened the door of a carriage and lads fell out lol,thats how full the train was .Pulled into btm station and had to wait for british rail to put on 4 more carriages,even when they did this it was standing room only .Got into pompey 12ish there was f*cking hundreds of cardiff on that train pompey had a reception commitee outside ....didn't last long lol. burst the police escort and ended up in southsea grtting chased by ROYAL NAVY SHORE PATROL .

what a day...March 12th 1983... there was easly 500 rammed on the 1st train down..A certain Mr Parsons (respect in someway) took charge of the 1st batallion only to take us to a dead end down some housing estate..we were soon wrapped up by the old bill & escorted to the ground as early as 1.30..
.3500 packed in the away end behind the goals,pompey's firm were to our right of the away end clad in tennis & golf...city looked impresive too with hundreds of early 80s casauals making up the 3500 who made the treck south..
througout the game missiles were hearled back & fore,smoke bombs were going off & pompey even made an attempt to get at us by invading the pitch ..the game ended 0.0 .but thats when the fun startrd..behind the City contigent stood the famous pompey clock only to be demolished bit by bit in true hooligan fashion..one memory comes to mind an old catweizel type feller in a black crombie must have been around 60 odd was pulling a large part of the clock only for it to come off and smack him straight in the chops..lol..

thy kept us in after for about 30 mins
and pompey charged the pitch from the oppersite end ,
loads of debris going over the wall of our end onto the pompey fans leaving the game, windows smashed on the houses that backed onto our end ,loads going on only one hand come off the clock tho
