McNaughton/Matthews Hudson Gyepes (I would prefer Gerrard but hey) and Naylor/McNaughton (depending on if we sign Naylor)

That depends on Naylor. I prefer Matthews in RB as he can cross, Darcy is a bit weak when it comes to that.

I can honestly see him picking Whitts over Burkey. Burkey hasn't had the best start to the season. Nowhere near as strong as last.

I'm on about DJ's choices. If I could choose CB, I would put Darcy and Gerrard no problems.

I am of the opinion that Whitts is a one season wonder but I seriously hope i'm wrong but this is the team i would proceed with

DL: Naylor
DC: Blake
DC: Gerrard
MC: Koumas
MC: Olofinjana
MC: Whittingham
FC: Bellamy
FC: Bothroyd
FC: Chopra

That could be immense. That is actually a team that could cope at Premiership level!

I personally think our best formation would mean have Drinkwater working hard
in front of defence, allowing the full backs to bomb forward and at the same time
protecting the central defenders. Olifinjani would be the midfield lynch pin that
everything goes through. This simply ensures the most important part of the whole
team - the defence - is strong.

I would then plump for Koumas in a right midfield role or Burke as an impact right
winger (it gives us options)

Whittingham would have to stand down and watch Bellamy from the bench, but again,
it gives us options. Bellamy not paying well.. then bring on Whittingham and Burke!!

Either way, in front of the defence, and Drinkwater and Olifinjani, we would have:

Bellamy
Koumas
Chopra
Bothroyd

and class on the bench waiting to come on if needed.

Because he's so left footed I think it'll be Whittingham who is the major casualty
here. JK can do a job anywhere across the middle behind the forwards.
