FA of Wales awaiting Confirmation of Bellamy deal

Tue Aug 17, 2010 12:07 pm

As soon as the fax with the loan transfer details arrives at HQ I will let you know....
We (The FAW) then have to request International Clearance from The English FA.

It depends on the details of the deal.
The FAW have to request International Clearance from The English FA and that can be granted in a couple of minutes a couple of hours, or even a couple of days!!

The English FA may not agree to International Clearance due to the fact that Motherwell are now threatening legal action.
Watch this space!!

Surely if we aren't in a transfer embargo they can't refuse us "international clearance"???

If we owe money and are facing a threat of legal action then yes they can!
If it was a club from the English league then they would most certainly do that.
As it involves a club from another country (so to speak) it may be ok.

If we say for example City's part of Bellers' wages is £20k a week, that's just short of £1m for the season. Seems like pocket money to TG and VT now!!

Motherwell have threatened legal action previously yet we were still able to register Heaton, Koumas, Olifinjana etc so how can they suddenly refuse to agree to International Clearance?

What has changed since they last threatened legal action to allow them to refuse now?

Just pissing on our parade.

But we should've payed them, no reason not too.

Have Motherwell suddenly obtained some sort of legal judgement against CCFC which gives them the right to send in the bailiffs?

Even if they are owed the money I assume they would need some sort of legal judgement in their favour before sending in the bailiffs or they could be in big trouble themselves.

Cage rattling by Motherwell?
