The media really have got it in for Cardiff City

Every man and his dog is coming out and slagging us off, Talksport, the press and Sky Sports News - Barry hearn just calling us cheats now on SSN. It's about time Gethin Jenkins and the Malaysians come out fighting and threaten these tossers with writs for defamation. We no longer have any football related debts apart from the Motherwell debt(and there are legal issues to be tied up with that one which will be dealt with in short order). and internal debts i.e Pmg etc.

I listened to the whole Barry Hearn interview, & its difficult not agreeing with his sentiments regarding the matter. I know a lot of work has & is being done at our club, but the sooner we get our "house in order" the better. As Sam once said, we need to be "whiter than white". The whole football world will be watching us now.

A lot of the flack we are getting now is as a direct result of Ridsdales dodgy dealings I think we need to make all the media etc aware that there is a new regime in charge who are working through the mess left by the previous regime (Ridsdale) and that Cardiff City will honour all debts.

However i agree that somethngs being said and written could be considered libellous and maybe a letter from our Solicitors would be in order.

Exactly we must stamp on thIs. Sky Sports, Talksport and the press should not be allowed to damage the good name of our club and that is exactly what they are doing by allowing interviews with characters such as Barry Hearn who go on to call us "CHEATS", who by the way is closely associated with Sky Sports. He should not make any such comment without knowing the internal details of the goings on at the CCS

I do find it rather odd that the local press (Media Wales) whose coverage is large and mainly positive in comparison, are banned whilst Sky, Talksport, etc, all the people slagging us off, are allowed access.

It a situation that certainly needs to be addressed, for the good of the club.

if it was that much of deal the football league or who ever in charge would of had a look at it,

we was under embargo cuz of unpaid tax not DEPTS TO CLUBS,

yea we taking the piss a bit with the depts , but i bet any money say reading or QPR would of done the same if they could find way to get bellamy. and for a start we got free transfers and loans if we pay a lil wages of players der no loan fee.

so sod em all lets just hammer every 1 in site, personally i like the banter shows how far are club has gone every one is taking notice of us. yea bit of bad press but hey it fires me up to hope we do well shut every one up

No, if you owe football clubs debts, you're under an embargo too. It appears it only pertains to domestic clubs, for our purposes English league clubs.

i loved it on talksport yesterday when someone texted in and said something allong the lines of
everyone is having a go at us, no one ever likes cardiff and we don't care!

Being a Welsh club in an English league is never going to make us popular. Any excuse to have a dig will always be used by the English press. That's what being a Cardiff fan is all about, just accept it smile and enjoy it.

I think cheats is harsh but we have to remember that as a club we are still in a very precarious position. The debts are still there and the wages will still be due and so will the bill to HMRC. Whether we like it or not we are still walking a tightrope and we have to accept that fact.

Am i correct in thinking we now "only" owe Motherwell and Langstone?

Sounds like Motherwell will be sorted imminently.

Echo states that IF our friends in Kuala Lumpar obtain 50% of the club now, then Langstone would need paying now. Otherwise, Langstone waits until the end of the season when hopefully we'll be in the prem and our £20m debt will seem like pocket change compared to Liverpool, Man Ure and co.

its annoying that we all know that we have problems, and we all know that we need to pay off the debt, and we are! and then they come out telling everyone that we have no money, we are going to go out of buissness and that we are cheats when they know nothing of what is really going on at the club!

we are paying off our debts, slowly but surely, would they call us cheats if we had gone into admin and signed him??? like other teams would have done....the answer is NO, it all come down to being envious of signing one of the top 5 players in the country
