Absolutely sickening news. Gutted for all close to him if true. I hate to say it but unless he is a ridiculously heavy sleeper and doesn't hear phones and banging on doors he should have made a comment to someone by now. Gutted :(

A flight carrying two people from Nantes to Cardiff has gone missing and is believed to have possibly been carrying new Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala.

There are fears that a private plane flying between Nantes in France and Cardiff was carrying new Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala who just signed for the club a few days ago.

The Piper Malibu went missing from radars near the Casquets lighthouse around 8.30 on Monday evening.
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said, "HM Coastguard helicopters from Solent and Newquay have been helping to search overnight with nothing found."
French website 20 Minutes report that it was the 28 year old Argentinian on board the aircraft.

Guernsey police released a statement saying, "A search and rescue operation is currently underway off the north of Alderney after a light aircraft disappeared from radar several hours ago,' the force said.

"Two helicopters alongside the Guernsey and Alderney lifeboats are searching for it."

In a statement Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman: said, "We are very concerned by the latest news that a light aircraft lost contact over the Channel last night. We are awaiting confirmation before we can say anything further. We are very concerned for the safety of Emiliano Sala."

Who cares about that?! Two men have lost their lives. Relegation may well have just been confirmed by this sickening twist of fate but its irrelevant. We have to rally round as club and do everything as a community to support the families of these poor people.
