After we played Bristol City i asked one of there supporters who i work with what he thought of the CCS.
His reply shocked me at first he said it wasnt Ninian Park the intimidation factor had gone.
I replied it was a cracking atmosphere and he said again it wasnt Ninian and weve lost that intimidation factor and now it was just another ground.
First of all they moaned that they hated Ninian Park now wer'e being told they miss it and and miss being shit scared. Cant win can we

Thats exactly what some Palace fans said to me this season, no atmosphere and they missed the intimidation lol.
Well I miss Ninian Park Big Time.

Hi Annis i miss Ninian to an extent as well but we had some really bad atmospheres at ninian as well, when you could hear a pin drop.
If we could of kept the terraces all well and good but we would of lost them and the atmo would of been dreadfull.
My only regret is we didnt get to bring terror to the Prem with Ninian Park .now that would of been awsome .
But i do love our new ground and its up to us to create an awsome atmo. The club should put the familys back in the Canton stand then we could recreate the atmo of Ninian.

Hi Steven, I had 2 Dreams Wembley achieved and 1 Season in the Prem at Ninian Park, so we could put the Shits up them all lol.
I agree there were some dead days at Ninian, but dont forget for 49 yrs we have been out of the top flight. When Ninian Rocked it couldnt be beat.

I must admit that the new ground isnt as intimidating as the old ground.ive been several times to the new ground now and i must admit wednesday arn't due there till your last home game so i don't really know what its like in the away corner but it just does'nt seem to give that adrenalin rush of the old place!!!!!!! Its just seems alot now like the new modern bowl and its alot more sorted by the old bill but its the norm now to go forwards and i think for the kids its a lot better and safer for them to go!!!!! And safer for the away fans aswell!!!!! lol

Hi Wednesday, I agree it is a lot safer for the kids, but because the atmosphere is now crap, even my daughters aged 4 and 8 dont want to go back to watch City in the new plastic ground, they loved Ninian Park, the oldest saw 55 matches in there.

Unless you were in the grandstand Chief the kids couldent see properly esp in the Canton. As for the bob bank terrace unless they were by the wall they stood no chance.
I dont have that prob anyway coz my boy cant stand football

i agree that the families should be moved back into the canton stand next season an use both the ninian stand and the grange end to be our singing stands, would create a far better atmosphere, dont think it will happen tho. but if it did it would be like ninian with singing coming from block a and the grange!
i blame wayne nash lol!

I don't ever think the way the fans are sitting will ever change, or at least not in the near future. I remember being in NP and havig a presentation on the new ground and, when it came to the layout of the ground, the representative said that the club saw the problems arising from our fans and they wanted to move families into the Grange stand to minimise potential problems. In other words, the ground is laid out to prevent trouble and this is how it will stay

I know what you are saying Annis but its not what the supporters think now adays! Its all about money and keeping other people happy who sit in the corporate seats and boxes!!!!!! We are old school and don't like change i know and you are quite right in your ways! We go and pay and seem to just accept it! We the supporter don't seem to get much of a say now adays!!!!! Unless we don't go but its hard for us to do that! Its in the blood and we don't know any other way!!!!!!!!!!!

I look forward to match day the same as i always have, i wake up with the expectations of a win and another few hours of roll on kick off. I walk towards our new home still thinking ' it looks good ' I enjoy my pint or two in the pub or at the stadium. i clap along with all others when Men of Harlech is played and i make some noise when the boys come out. I am top of the world when we win and down when we lose, the same as i did at Ninian Park. but even though we are neally half way through the season, at some point during the game when theres a quiet spell, i cannot help but think theres something missing, its not the same. i know with time i will lose this feeling and i with our new stadium will experiance all the highs and lows that are ahead and i will warm more to her, but Ninian park was unique and just like Annis and many others will treasure the memories that will stay forever. Cardiff city fc, the greatest team in football the world has ever seen.

I agree chief. I have my very fond memorys of NP and allways will.
But my lasting memory will be the last match against Ipswich and the pathetic attempt by our team .
I am still bitter to this day on how we got to say good bye and i hoped that the team could of got in the play offs so we could of had one last chance to say goodbye properly. But i feel cheated that we didnt say goodbye properly and i will never forgive those players who played that day.
I went to the open day to say farewell my own way without any of them flops there but it wasnt the same. Before i left i bought a couple of pints and went into each stand a drank a toast then made a vow to love the new stadium as much as i did Ninian and then without looking back i left with a big lump in my throat.
A special mention to the Ipswich fans who unlike our club and players treated it with the respect it deserved. For that they will allways have my respect

Spoke to a Forest lad and he said the atmosphere was spot on at the new ground.
Its never going to be Ninian though, The modern Ninian was built for intimidation with the away fans stuck in that corner
Sat Nov 28, 2009 1:56 pm
Dont get me wrong i love our new ground. We just need to get tne place rocking.
I hate to say it but the jacks have a modern stadium and the atmo that they create is fantastic. We need to do the same

Seats need changing around pronto for next season, swap the family stand with the grange end, that would certainly shake things up..
