They are death traps, I was in Magaluf a few years back, and our balcony fence/railing was so rusty, my Mrs refused to let me go out on the balcony, knowing my liking for drink. A couple of days later a 19 year old from the Midlands fell and died after falling through the balcony railing and falling five floors.

He was`nt pissed up either, he just lent on it and it collapsed.

I was in Magaluf about 14 years ago and, for some reason when I was drunk, I jumped from the balcony on our room to the balcony on another room. Must have thought I was Superman

lost a mate 12 years ago off a balcony, they think he was just sleep walking. Was sad times !!!
