Saturday>>>> Who makes way for Bellers??

Thu Aug 19, 2010 3:10 pm

Personally I think it'll be Danny Drinkwater, he's a young lad and it'll be the
easier option, leaving Oli and Whitts in the middle.

However, I think a like for like swop would be better for the shape of the
team. Drinkwater is destined to do a great job tucking in behind the midfield
and protecting the defence!! So id leave Whitts on the bench

Mind you, who reckons Bellamy will be on the bench Saturday anyway?

Is Koumas going to be fit? If so, my ideal midfield and forward line would be

Koumas - Oli/Drinkwater - Whitts

Bellers - Chops

You need both drinkwater and olifinjana to play in the middle to break things up.I think Burke will be rested and come on for bellars 70 minutes. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Do we think he'll start? He admitted he wasn't match fit at the press conference.

He'll start. Not sure he'll last 90 minutes though

Nottage your team would be great if we could field 12 players or your formation without a goalie

Totally agree mate. We have got two gems there who will both battle and scrap for the
ball, and can both pass it!!

It would leave Koumas, Bellamy, Chops and Bothroyd to take it to the opposition in the
final third. Thats not even mentioning that our two midfield dynamos would provide
ample cover for our full-backs to bomb forward!!!

Hmmm, either the wind just blew up my leg or i've got a stiffy :D

No real arguments but I think drinkwater could prove vital this season.
We've lacked a fast skilful player who can tackle and will protect the back four.
We would have Koumas as a playmaker, but also, Olifinjani who can ping a
ball with the best of them AND tackle back. Like I said, with the full-backs bombing
forward too we will be irresistable going forward but also tight as a drum at the back
