When Cardiff City and Swansea City supporters will discover the South Wales derby dates -


Monday 7th May 2019


Cardiff City's relegation from the Premier League means the South Wales derby is back on the agenda for the first time since the 2013/14 season.

It will be the fixture that Swansea City and Bluebirds supporters will first look for when the dates are announced.


The Championship fixtures for the 2019-20 season will be released at 9am on Thursday, June 20 , the EFL has confirmed.

Saturday, August 3, is kick off day for the Championship, League One and League Two next season although there is likely to be a live TV game on Friday, August 2.

Saturday, August 3, 2019: EFL season kicks off (with a likely live game on Friday, August 2)

W/C August 12, 2019: Carabao Cup Round One

Sunday, March 1, 2020: Carabao Cup Final

Sunday, April 5, 2020: EFL Trophy Final

Saturday, May 16, 2020: League Two Play-Off Final

Sunday, May 24, 2020: League One Play-Off Final

Monday, May 25, 2020: Championship Play-Off Final
