Oldham Athletic are looking for their fourth manager in a year after Pete Wild left his job today.
Sky Sports News understands he spoke to owner Abdallah Lemsagam this morning - and asked to take an extended period of leave due to personal reasons.
The club accepted his requested and have told him that the door is always open for him to return.
Wild was previously the head of the club’s Academy and initially took caretaker charge earlier in the season when Frankie Bunn was sacked, before standing aside when Paul Scholes was appointed manager.
