A strange game but that late goal from Newport could be a vital one
Hope they do it, myself!

Luke, that QPR game at The MillStad still one of my best days as a City supporter!
And the Blackpool game at Wembley one of the worst (I genuinely thought we'd do it that year)

Do you know what I forgot about the qpr game for a moment
I'm my head I was just thinking of the championship but I totally agree.
QPR game was huge, when young I always dreamt of City being in the championship ( or division 1), that was the aim to try and be a regular championship club. Doing it at the Millenium was amazing.
But yeah that Blackpool game, deverstating, never felt so deflated after a game of football. Awful feeling.

Game settling down now after a frantic start that Villa probably edged
A couple of 'early markers' on Villa's Grealish and Tammy Abraham

CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFF 1ST LEG RESULT:
VILLA 2 - 1 WBA
Villa with the greater possession probably deserve to edge the game
Dwight Gayle a big miss in the second half (sent off fir a cjmhslkengd on the Villa keeper and likely to miss the second leg (possible appeal)

I agree that Villa deserved it today.
Don't think Gayle will be successful with any appeal, always difficult when it's a second yellow.
Looking forward to the game later.
Derby have bottled it year after year, will this year be any different?
As for Leeds, it will be interesting to see how they get on. It can be very difficult when you've just missed out on automatic promotion.
Before the play-offs started, I wanted West Brom to win them so glad that they're still in the tie at the halfway point.

Leeds have the hoodoo over Derby this season but have gone off the boil of late
Should be an interesting game and for me, it's all down to whether Roofer can find his goal scoring touch
Not really too bothered who goes up this season but would be nice if it wasn't Villa

Charlton win the final first leg of this year's play-offs.
They've given themselves a great chance of making the final with a 2-1 away win at Doncaster.
The second legs will begin tonight at 6pm when Newport go to Mansfield in League Two.
