It's annoying to only go down by two points after some of the decisions and performances we have had this year.

2 draws against Hudderstield
Draw against 10 man Newcastle
The great Chelsea robbery
Poor performance v Fulham away
Poor performance v Burnley twice

When you look back that's 6 games we should have got something from and didn't so we can have no real complaints. The bad refereeing is just part of the game and if we had done our job against teams around us then we would be safe

To be fair, we tripped ourselves up on a number of occasions and then the officials didn't help until it no longer mattered, i.e. Mendez-Laing's penalty v ManUre

We will likely spend the summer thinking 'what might have been' but it is what it is and we are where we are

Personally, I loved the ride this season and the battling performances of a team that were dismissed before a ball was even kicked and maybe it was the lack of draws rather than wins (we had 10) that decided it?

With everything else that has happened off the field this season, I accept relegation with grace and look forward to going again in the Championship next season :thumbright:
