Underestimating our own

Postby trotskie » Mon May 13, 2019 6:49 pm

I honestly feel some of our fans don't realise how good our players are at championship level. We have a much stronger squad than last time and I'm sure Warnock will add a striker,RB and 2CM.

With the right attitude from players and fans we could be champions

We have no cover for central defence with Bamba out and it’s also a 46 game season

I think people are underestimating how tough the championship is.

I think people are to obsessed with us signing a striker, We need to sign 3 cms and RB as soon as possible. We are strong enough in every other position. Brown from the development team is more than good enough to step in at CB.

I agree zohore and ward are good enough but are too injury prone to rely on

True but then Warnock also signed Medine and Bogle as championship strikers

Genuine question is Bacuna any good or have we paid a ludicrous £4 million for a fairly ordinary championship midfielder who was playing for a perennially relegation threatened Reading. As farcas I can remember from reading the Reading message board when we signed him they though he had been OK for them this season one of there better players but nothing that special and us paying £4 million was lunacy. Was this another panic in January and vastly overpay for a player like with Madine or could he be quite good.

Must say I have lost my faith a bit when it comes to signing players. He simply should not be allowed to sign anyone in January not matter what our circumstances are.

Warnock said that he bought Bacuda to replace Gunners and Reid didn’t get much game time because of Camerasa and he has retained a Jazz and has young Coxe and Peltier as right backs so I would think one top striker and a midfielder to replace Arter is all we need unless he sells some players?

I think with Warnock's encouragement Bacuna could be good at Championship level. He didn't look out of place in the team against Palace and I thought was unfairly criticised by some on here.

I'm predicting at least one hat trick for Ethridge and that the manager will get into double figures by Christmas.

Apart from zohore (who should be scoring even more than I predicted) all the others have scored similar amounts before.

We might not score that many hit we are capable of it
