SCUNTHORPE APPOINT HURST AS HEAD COACH

Scunthorpe United have announced the appointment of Paul Hurst as first team manager and Chris Doig as assistant manager.

It is Hurst's first role in management since he was sacked by Ipswich Town in October 2018 after just five months, the shortest managerial reign in the club's history. Hurst has also previously managed Shrewsbury.

Andy Dawson has been caretaker manager for Scunthorpe United since the club parted company with Stuart McCall in March.
