Team News and Whitts

Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:27 pm

Team tomorrow will be the same as last week except Bellamy will come in for Burke.

Whittingham is not being sold my sources tell me.

Riggott is training with the squad again today.

And what about Naylor? He's been registered, but will he be playing?

Dropping Burke would be harsh, goal and assist last week. I'd drop Whitts as Burke is more of a threat.

if we play 3 up front then Whitts will shift in and Burke is an out an out wide man. If we are cruising or not doing so bad we can go 4-4-2 and put Burke out wide then :ayatollah:

I'm happy enough with that.

In my eyes it HAD to be Burke that gave way.

we need to keep Oli and Danny together in the middle, I think that pairing
could be pivotal to the whole side. Particularly in the way the defence is
protected. Two out and out wide men (Bellamy and Burke) is not really feasible
in my eyes and it would be a little harsh to drop Whitts for Koumas just yet.
Lets give Whitts a chance to prove how creative he can be with so much cover
behind him, and so much to aim at up front!!

We've started well, its a shame to see anybody benched for Craig, but we never
went through all this to see HIM sat twiddling his thumbs

Well done DJ

Furthermore, I think that by giving Whitts a game Saturday they may
well want to talk to his agent on Monday ;) There's a week left for
teams to come in and buy. If he dont want to sign then I'd put him
on the list. Otherwise we're stuck with a player til January that may
not be too arsed if he loses his place, So his value will drop, and
January also brings him closer to a possibility of him leaving for f**k all.

DJ is giving him a chance, time for him to put up or f**k off I reckons!

Really dont want Whitts to go, Naylor and Koumas on bench? :ayatollah:

Can't believe Burke is dropping out, he was 2nd best on the park last week only to Olofinjana who walked through it.

our bench is starting to look strong now. Just a couple more players in and we will have lots of options from the sidelines. We will then be a very tough team to beat.

Its just shape mate.

Jones has spotted something with Danny and Oli, they are our engine room
and will protect the defence. Bellamy HAS to play, and Whitts is a bit more
of a playmaker than burke. Dont get me wrong, I prefer Burke, but always
thought a right winger would sit on the bench if we were playing a left winger

For me, it would be Whitts or Danny dropping out. There's no doubt Bellamy has to play, but for me WHitts drops out of games more than Burke ever does. Someone has to drop out though.

Hd needs to sign a new feckin contract then, before he leaves for nothing.

Same goes for Bothroyd, Burke, McPhail and Blake - all a bit quiet on that score for my liking.

I was really hoping Burke would not be dropped. He is a class player :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
