How Bristol City, Leeds United, West Brom and Cardiff City are predicted to finish in the Championship

Bookmakers have had their say on the 2019/20 Championship season

Leeds United and West Brom will play in Championship again next season after failing to reach the play-off final.

Derby will now take on Villa for a place in the Premier League on May 27.


Ahead of the concluding game of the season, the promotion odds for the 2019/20 campaign have been released.

Relegated Fulham are currently favourites at 9/4 with Leeds and West Brom just behind them. Relegated Cardiff City and Huddersfield are also well placed.

Despite finishing just four points off the play-offs, Lee Johnson's Bristol City are priced around mid-table below four teams they finished above in Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea and Brentford.


The identity of another team in the division, outside or Derby or Villa, is still to be known with Sunderland contesting the League One play-off final against Charlton or Doncaster.

Clearly these odds will change as squads are formed over the summer but I think this is a fair reflection

The one I'm surprised at is Fulham.

They have money but they are going to have to completely overhaul their squad.

They are likely to lose:

Rico
Chambers
Fosu-Mensah
Chambers
Schurrle
Mitrovic
Sessegnon
Babel

and that's just the obvious ones.

Couple that with an inexperienced manager and the fact that they have already finished well behind us this season even with the current squad, I just can't see how they would be anywhere near favourites to return to the Prem ?

I don't see any reason for Leeds to be ahead of us to be honest.

Although I think Stoke were odds on last season having spent good money and got in a new manager who many seemed to rate at the time. very tough division.

How overrated are Leeds FFS experts in failure as is their manager.
