I’ve heard this too, interesting if it happens. Cardiff are starting to become abit lazy I find, haven’t released the retained list, no news on new kit, no club shop sale for the 2nd year running, letting the fans know the pre season is in North America a month before they go out!! Like seriously, they give us a months notice to plan a trip out to America. It’s abit ridiculous to be honest. Retained list is going to be interesting aswell as Harris, Damour and a few other contracts were up but the players didn’t seem to be saying bye to any of them when gunnars and victor left. Brian Murphy contract is up aswell and no news of a new one so if this smithies move is true, we need to be in the market for a keeper...

retained list normally mid june ,could be that contract talks are on going still with players,agree about tours they are always last minute and the kit launch seems to always be last minute too

Would be a very odd decision if true, surely we need to be selling one of Etheridge or Smithies. Loaning him out is just money down the drain.

If that's the case surely we should be saying you can go if we get an acceptable offer. He knew when he signed he might not be number 1. We should be doing what's right for us not him.

its good from the players point of view if being promised first team football { although not sure how that works, managers will promise the shirt to start but if your poor all bets are off }..
but from our perspective i agree its should be a sale not a loan..
