FREDDIE LJUNGBERG STEPS UP AT ARSENAL

17/06/19

Freddie Ljungberg is to become Arsenal’s new assistant first-team coach, switching roles with Steve Bould who will taking charge of the club’s U23 team.

Former midfielder Ljungberg, who was part of the Gunners' Invincibles in 2004, steps up from his position with the U23s to work with head coach Unai Emery.

Arsenal said the changes, which come into effect from July 1, are designed to help “create a ‘transition team’ which will collectively manage a player’s development through some of the hardest and most challenging periods of their professional lives”.
