Indeed, but he's NOT an MP. Old laws set in stone, probably way before MEP's existed. My solicitor mate told me this, so got no reason to doubt him.

Already answered in a post above, apparently the laws regarding MP's and MEP's are different. A solicitor told me in the Pub when the subject came up. I don't really care tbh, they're all tossers in my eyes, chuck eggs/milkshakes at the lot if people want to, I won't lose any sleep over it.

And judging by this post the guy who threw a milkshake on Farage passed go and collected 200 quid too! Meaning he was only 150 quid out of pocket!
