Police issue harassment warning to Willie McKay after threat to 'burn' Cardiff City and 'kill everybody' there

Daily Telegraph

Monday 24th June 2019

Police have issued a harassment warning to Willie McKay following a complaint that he threatened to “burn” Cardiff City and to “kill everybody” there, The Daily Telegraph can reveal.

The man who booked Emiliano Sala’s flight was interviewed under caution by the Metropolitan Police after being accused of making threats to Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman, chief executive Ken Choo, player liaison officer Callum Davies and one other man.

As revealed by The Telegraph, the Met launched an investigation after McKay, who turned 60 this month, found out where one of his alleged victims lived and confronted him at a nearby café before committing what the force described as a “possible public order offence”.

The Met said the incident was not being treated as “threats to kill” amid claims the Scot subjected the same man later that day to threatening phone calls in which he said, “I’ll shoot the lot of you”, and, “You don’t know who you’re dealing with”.

Confirming its investigation into the Feb 22 altercation had “now concluded”, the Met said: “A man, aged in his fifties, was interviewed under caution on Tuesday, May 28. He was not arrested. The man was issued with a first instance harassment warning.”

Police issue harassment warning after threats aimed at Cardiff City officials following Emiliano Sala tragedy -

Monday 24th June 2019

Police have issued a harassment warning to Willie McKay following a complaint about alleged threats towards Cardiff City officials.

An investigation was launched in March amid reports in the Sunday Telegraph that the football agent, who turned 60 this month, had made threats towards senior Cardiff officials. The two parties had been at loggerheads over the Emiliano Sala tragedy.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that a harassment warning had been issued and that the investigation had "now concluded".

"The Metropolitan Police Service received an allegation of a public order offence in Kendall Street, W2 on Friday, 22 February.

"Officers from the Central Area Command Unit investigated.

"A man, aged in his 50s, was interviewed under caution on Tuesday, 28 May. He was not arrested.

"The man was issued with a first instance harassment warning. The investigation has now concluded."

McKay has become embroiled in the the Sala case after helping to set up the striker's record £15m transfer from Nantes to Cardiff.

He admitted in emails to providing information claiming there was interest from other clubs, which the Bluebirds feel could have driven up the price for Sala.

McKay was also the man who booked the Malibu Piper flight intended to take Sala from France back to the Welsh capital.

He has also publicly accused Cardiff of "trying to throw me under a bus."

The latest development in the Sala tragedy comes a week after a 64-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

A guilty conscience usually makes people do strange things but this guy, Secret Agent McKay, appears to do 'Prat' for a living! ;)

Him threatening to burn Cardiff City and kill someone is nothing new.Our fans wanted to do that after every game in the past.

How the hell can the Met say it not being treated as threat to kill when he said " I'll shoot the lot of you" ?

Was he going to shoot them in the foot as he comes across as being an expert in shooting himself in the foot !!!!
