‘ Not Good ‘

Fri Jul 05, 2019 4:35 pm

For those interested :bluescarf:

As most know Atletico Baleares for the 56th year failed to get promoted to La Liga 2

The season finally ended for Atletico on June 30th. Last clubs to play a competitive game in Spain.
Back in training 17th July.

Already 5 main players have already left including their Captain Lopez, who was worshipped for years by the fans.

Lopez is just one of the 5 main players already to leave after years of trying for promotion

Such a shame, Annis...and an all too familiar picture at clubs who come so close but don't get the prize :(

Do you think Atletico will be able to rebuild for next season and their new stadium or is this a time to take stock and look slightly to the future?

I'm sure it is (hurting the fans), Annis. It's all part of being a football supporter

Great news on the stadium though

And that guy in the picture won't have to be sitting on his own too much longer! :bluescarf:

Good and bad news there Annis, just hope they can rebuild quickly and push on next season, shame the players didn’t stick it out for another season or two and leaving so soon after the promotion push would have been a hard decision for them.

Paul, I am sort of on the players side, many had stayed the last 4 years and probably think it’s time go up to higher leagues themselves as I personally believe the manager is not creative enough and looks for the one nil wins, worked in league but failed twice in play offs.

The owners backed him.

Samuel the Spurs player was only on loan and has gone back.

The other players were all out of contract.

That’s poor business from the manager, it’s gonna cost now to replace those players, losing one returning loan player is fine but to lose another 4 through end of contracts is stupid to say the least, the questions need to be asked of the manager now as to why he allowed that to happen
