Cardiff City have revealed their 21-man squad for the pre-season tour of America and Canada.

The Bluebirds left South Wales on Thursday and will play a total of three matches before returning to Cardiff to face Nice before their Championship opener against Wigan on August 3.

Sol Bamba and Callum Paterson are among those who have not travelled as they continue to recover from injuries while Jazz Richards will not feature due to illness.

Gary Madine and Lee Tomlin also missed out on the trip across the Atlantic due to visa issues.

Four members of the Under-23s are included in the travelling party. They are new signing Aaron Bolger, Ciaron Brown, Cameron Coxe and James Waite.

However, goalkeeper Alex Smithies is not with the Bluebirds. His absence has come as a surprise, and with both Joe Day and Neil Etheridge travelling, it has thrown up some uncertainty over his future in the Welsh capital.

Striker Rhys Healey is another who is not out with Warnock's side in America.

Leandro Bacuna and Junior Hoilett will not be involved having been granted additional time off after featuring for their countries at the Gold Cup.

The Bluebirds take on San Antonio on July 14, New Mexico on July 19 and Real Valladolid on July 21.

Travelling squad:

Joe Day, Neil Etheridge;

Joe Bennett, Ciaron Brown, Cameron Coxe, Greg Cunningham, Bruno Manga, Sean Morrison, Curtis Nelson, Lee Peltier; Aaron Bolger, Loic Damour, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Josh Murphy, Joe Ralls, Will Vaulks, James Waite;

Omar Bogle, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Danny Ward, Kenneth Zohore.
