With rumours that burke could go to brum next week, i really really hope not. For the first time since i've watched city, we are blessed with options galore and i think burke was the man who changed the game today

Totally agree, I would rather burke than whitts any day of the week.

Burke was a class act! scored a fabulous solo goal, and is worth more to the team than Whitts....

I said as much last night, and he obviously came on with a point to prove and seems to have done it.

i wouldn't sell burke or whitts as both give us different options. i would try to get ross and rae off the wage bill and if gerrard is going surely we can keep both. I'd sell whitts if he definitely won't sign a new contract but to sell burke for 2 milion i think would be counter productive as he could be instrumental to our promotion push

The thing I love about Burke is hia attitude, its wonderful to see such a passionate bloke playing for the city, runs his absolute bollox off, he would be gutted to leave, wonderful player.

wont be going anywhere. However, the player himself may well want to
go to the Premier League with them. I hope not, Burkey proved a huge
point today.

Craig Bellamy has got all our players looking at themselves. They see
how passionate, how determined and how honest he is when he walks
on a pitch and realise they all need to raise their game. Not in terms
of skill (Bellamy is close to world class)... but he sets a great example
to any footballer

Defo but I don't think a lot of players need convincing, Bellers is a luxury who offers so much more. I think Burkey would give his heart no matter what, same with Chops, Whitts and Jay, they all would. Think we've got a fantastic bunch, but yeah, give it 3-4 weeks and Bellamy will have them 100 percent even if they're out on there feet 1-0 down after 80 mins.
