A forum for all things Cardiff City

As we have told you earlier Cardiff City and Celtic have agreed a season long loan for Glenn Loovens with the option of making the move permanent for £2.5million.
Glenn Looven's agent has accepted the terms on offer from City and the deal is down to the player.
Glenn is now considering the move and has requested some time before deciding.
I for one hope he says yes and see's this as an opportunity to make it to the Premier League. Go on Glenn you know you want too.

Ah.................. but the lure of Celtic Park, 60,000 fans and the Champions League......oh that's right.....

What about the money owed to Feyenoord?
Has that been paid?

Hmmm. Its going to be awkward mind. Only 4 long term loans allowed in the first 11. Does that mean Drinkwater dropping to the bench?

Someone tell him Parry doesn't play for us any more.

As Drinkwater is under 21 we can have another loan as he does not count as one of the loans

How much did Celtic pay to take him up there? ...Id love to see him back here! , but £2.5 mill to make it permanent seems alot!

Glenn asked for 'time to consider' the move. Does this mean he's not too sure....or is he talking to Ledley first? lol
Either way the move is a no-brainer if Glenn has Premiership ambitions, given the squad the Bluebirds are putting together at the moment.
Come back Glenn....the Ayatollah awaits you!

with the squad that DJ is putting together, he would be stupid not to join Cardiff City

We had this chat over Naylor i think on here Carl. How much the Bellamy signing
had an impact on Naylor.
Loovens wont be saying no once he's seen the DVD of todays game.
He's no Premiership player though. He'll do a great job for us again but they
can sing for £2.5m, we'll need better players than him where we're going

i think celtic feel guilty about not paying a penny for joe, so heres loovens
Sat Aug 21, 2010 7:40 pm
someones knicked my bloody picture
on a more serious note, sign up loovens, that is if you are not costing us too much.
EDIT* 2 people have. cheek buggers

if i remember right he went for 2.5 million. so there taking the piss abit because he hasnt really paid much football.
but id be happy to have him on loan, i personally dont think he would be good enough in the premiership (if we got promoted) if we dont then yea sign him.

He must be crazy to even need to think about it.
Celtic fans don't like him, City fans do.
We have one of the biggest buzzes going on in the country right now.
The standard of football is higher.

why do we want people that do not have any loyaltys?
he was a no one before cardiff signed him, we are giving him the chance of 1st team football and his so called premiership dream AND he needs to think about it.
i wouldnt even give him the satisfaction of thinking hes bigger than the club.
i would personaly tell him to jog on into celtics reserves.
i would rather give someone a chance EG gerrard and buy back up for him!

Perhaps he is checking whether or not Paul Parry has left the country yet ?? !
Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:54 pm
Whats the Paul Parry thing??
