“ Wheelchair at Grangetown / Hudders Fan “

Evening folks. Huddersfield fan here.

I just registered to say a quick thanks to the lads (if they come on here) who helped carry me & my wheelchair down the steps at Grangetown on Wednesday night. I know I ain’t a lightweight & it wasn’t easy but I appreciated it a lot. I’m fairly new to this disabled malarkey, & it never ceases to impress me how far some people will go to help.

If you are on here, as my lad said to you, if you’re up at our place pop into the Slubbers Arms & there’ll be a couple of pints there for you.

Wednesday night was a fairly typical HTFC away day. A brilliant trip ruined by football.

As an aside, I have to say as well that I thought the stewards in our end were brilliant. I know they can get a lot of stick but they were friendly, chatty & low profile. Even to the extent they let me out of the ground to get a programme then back in again (contrast this to Old Trafford where they tried to stop me getting back to my seat because I'd gone to the loo without my ticket on me!).

We all know that most football supporters are genuine people and this is another great example

Well done those who helped  :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

This story should be picked up by the national media.

Dont be soft. Its lovely that the Hudds fan has come on to say thanks but this is not a national news story ffs, just good old fashioned human nature

Did he mean the guys who saved the Town fans life. That definitely deserves it.

I don't think it should mate, whilst it was absolutely outstanding what the Cardiff fans did for the Huddersfield Fan by helping to save his life its a local news story not national news and its got the relevant coverage I would have expected but, it happens everyday, everywhere, the news would be never ending if every person who saved a life in a day was on national news.

That's not detracting from what they did though or the lads who helped you, as I said, its a lovely story and I hope you enjoyed your'e visit here
