Be interesting to see who has the power to ignore the close of the transfer market.

Doesn't make the bench, just don't think Warnock likes or trusts him.

You can’t play Tomlin in that formation plus a tight away game he doesn’t trust him unfortunately.

Surely he makes the bench, we need two goals now and creativity. Who will he bring on, Patterson probably.

I agree.

There are seven players on the bench so you should always have space for a luxury player. If he is not in the team Tomlin should always be on the bench. We don't have anyone else like him who can add that something special if we are chasing a game.

Hopefully he is more involved with the home fixtures. I think it’s ridiculous he’s not even in the squad as Patterson has been very poor since coming back from injury. His performances have been well below the standard we need and he doesn’t look anywhere near match fit. Can’t fault Patterson over the last two seasons but he’s adding very little to the team at the moment.

Why all the hate for Paterson? Granted he hasn’t been great this season but he has been in the past and most importantly he f*cking gives 100% all the time.

He’s one of us and deserves respect at the very least.

The problem is that Warnock only ever substitutes like for like.

He takes off a winger and brings on a winger. He takes off a striker and brings on a striker. Who is he going to bring Tomlin on for? We've got nobody else in the team playing the same role Tomlin plays.

I'd love to see us try playing with two up front. The closest we've come to that was yesterday in absolute desperation when Flint went up front and look what happened - he won the flick on which Danny Ward ran onto to score.

Unfortunately I can't see us every playing two upfront under the current manager.

You can certainly count on CP for effort but imho LT would be the better option atm, certainly at home anyway. Think CP needs to lose a bit of timber, that wouldn’t do any harm. All opinions though Mac.

He’s coming back from injury. Would probably be the sort of guy that needs to bed back in to the team.

Opinions are fine. Calling him a lump isn’t. There’s been other criticism of Paterson uncalled for I think.

Fair point.
Agree re some comments, I meant ‘opinions’ as in atm I think LT is a better option, certainly at home.

You make a good point. Two up front could work for us. Ward is a good striker at this level and would thrive playing off Bogle or Glatzel

You obviously haven’t seen him waddle around the pitch this season, calling him a lump seems generous as most people where I sit think he’s been f*cking useless so far this season.
