Derby County return to Sky Bet Championship action tonight as they welcome Cardiff City to Pride Park Stadium.

The Rams have been out of action for the past two weeks due to the first international break of the season.

Phillip Cocu and his players will be hoping for a response when they take to the pitch at Pride Park this evening, after suffering a heavy defeat to Brentford prior to the break.

Derby have picked up six points from their opening six League matches, with their only win of the season came on the opening day against Huddersfield Town.

Tonight’s opponents, managed by Neil Warnock, have also not enjoyed the best start to life back in the Championship, picking up eight points and are yet to win away from home.

Earlier this week, we asked Rams fans to pick the starting 11 they would select to get the three points against the Bluebirds, and they have responded.

Derby supporters have opted to make four changes from the team that lost to Brentford prior to the break.

Kelle Roos keeps his place as Derby’s first-choice goalkeeper, and is supported by a back four featuring Scott Malone and Max Lowe as the two full-backs.

Malone replaces 18-year-old Lee Buchanan at left-back, while Lowe keeps his spot at right-back in place of the injured Jayden Bogle.

Matt Clarke returns to the fans’ preferred starting XI, and lines up at centre-back alongside captain Richard Keogh.

Into midfield and Krystian Bielik is moved into a defensive-minded role, with the summer signing mainly playing at the centre of defence so far this season.

The rest of the midfield sees more changes introduced, with Tom Huddlestone, Kieran Dowell and Jason Knight all dropping out.

In come Graeme Shinnie and Duane Holmes, with the former yet to feature in a league game for the Rams.

And into the forward line the trio of Tom Lawrence, Jack Marriott and Martyn Waghorn all keep their places from the defeat at Griffin Park.
